The Scansion of Hamilton

I watched Hamilton by Lynn Manuel Miranda on the 4th of July , and I was analyzing the fascinating rhyming schema and scansion of it, how thoroughly perfect it is in places, and how character was often manifested by slight differences in form. I would argue it’s an opera, but leaving it in the musical category works fine for me as well.

This particular tool that I then spotted in the WSJ is a perfect way to visualize that brilliance, break it down for you, and also perhaps introduce you to the rappers who inspired Miranda.
